The Automotive Trades Association is pleased to announce that Samantha Lord is this year’s A.T.A. & Retail Gasoline Dealers Association Scholarship award winner.

The annual scholarship is for $2000.00 and is awarded to any son or daughter of a member. Samantha is the daughter of Hilary Lord at Tirecraft Atlantic.

Samantha is going into her second year of a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Saint Mary’s University.

“At Saint Mary’s I have a 4.05 GPA and have taken a variety of courses in subjects such as French, English, Law, Political Science, Religion, Sociology, Gender Studies, and Global Development. Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant for my former professor in addition to my Part-Time job as an Assistant Manager at Cineplex Entertainment. However, I aspire to use my degree from Saint Mary’s University to apply to a BEd program and enter the profession of teaching.

Becoming a teacher has been an ambition of mine since I was young and I hope I will be able to make a profound impact on the lives of Canadian youth. Thank-you for your tremendous contribution to my educational goals!” – Samantha Lord

Congratulations Samantha and all the best in your future endeavors.
